Set the connector on a firm surface. |

While lightly pressing on the "release tab" with a small screwdriver or similar tool, gently pull on the wire for that pin. |

Pin is partially extracted. |

Pin is fully extracted. Be sure to insulate the pins while they are exposed to avoid a dangerous short circuit. Remember, to reverse the polarity, you must change the position of all four pins on a 3 cell pack.
For a 2 cell pack switch the outside wires.
For a 3 cell pack switch all wires:
1 becomes 4
2 becomes 3
3 becomes 2
4 becomes 1
